He began studying painting in 2003, including oil, watercolor, pastel, and collage. His subjects are wide-ranging—landscapes, flowers, still lifes, and portraits. He especially enjoys using oil paint to express rich colors and bold brushwork.

He also loves sketching while traveling to observe and capture interesting scenes and natural changes in the moment, and he transforms the inspirations from his journeys into artworks.
